Sunil Chhetri and Igor Stimac thinks Match against Qatar will be dificult
The Croatian graffer Igor Stimac thinks there is no reason to fear against the AFC Asian Cup champion Qatar, after the disappointing result in the FIFA World cup 2022 qualifiers against Oman.
Conceding two late goals in the 82' and 90', which shatters the Indian national team's dream, although the opportunity is still alive to move up to the knock-out stages. Where India need to beat Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Oman in the remaining matches.
But the Indian national team manager is not focusing at past or future, he is just thinking to beat The AFC Champion. " As soon as the Oman Match ended, we shifted our focus immediately to the next match. Qatar is the Strongest team in the group and playing them will not be easy. However, it's a great opportunity to learn from.
"Obviously, we have to change 4-5 players, we'll see how everyone is feeling. There is no reason to fear and we shall look to score goals and play good football." Igor Stimac addresses the media after reaching Doha.
Indian Skipper Sunil Chhetri also thinks the next match against Qatar will be a tough match but they are ready to face any challenges." It's probably the most difficult match, Playing Qatar away in Doha. We are looking forward to it. Every match is going to be like this (OMAN), there will be a fight no matter who we play. We have to make sure we don't repeat the small mistakes that cost us three points."
Indian defender Subhasish Bose has fully energised just ahead of the big game, but he also thinks they wouldn't repeat the same mistake. " We well played against Oman but we could have done better towards the end. However, it's important that we learnt out from our mistakes and ensure that we come out fighting and stronger.
"The coach has been motivating us and said that he was proud of the way we played. Against Qatar, we have to be solid and make the most of our chances." Indian left-back Subhasish Bose.
