AFC informs AIFF to restructure Indian Football within 2021-22 season
AIFF has already asked for three more years to reconstruct Indian Football crisis, The crisis is none other than a unified league.
Six I-League clubs Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Gokulam Kerala, Minerva Punjab, Chennai City Fc, Aijwal Fc had sens a letter to the governing boy of FIFA to intervene in the ongoing tussle, previously they also aksed PMO to take action on it.
Meanwhile, FIFA stands with AIFF, the world governing body of football requested those concern I-league clubs to work closely with AIFF.
Whereas the AIFF secretary Kushal Das also mentioned Indian football under financial crisis they need money to revive Indian football.
"We are looking at all possibilities to organise a unified league with a relegation system. But there are issues financial and organizational. It is not rocket science that we need money to save Indian Football", Kushal das said.
In the meantime, FIFA also stands with AIFF "It is clear that numerous aspect of the recommendations that still require further consideration prior to them being implemented," said Mattias Grafstorm, FIFA's acting deputy secretary.
Now the governing body of Asian Football Confederation(AFC) has asked AIFF to reconstructed Indian football league within the upcoming season 2021-22, but AIFF wants three more seasons to reconstruct it.
AFC wants to merge the league from the next season for that reason they also have some plans about the league like, first AIFF has to declare ISL as the top division league of in India in this season onwards. from the upcoming season 2021-22, there will be relegation and promotion in te top tier league.
